birthday burger anyone?

It was my dad's birthday! He is living in a veteran's center, and they have been on lock down because of the virus since early March -- knock on wood - no cases there, thank god! A bunch of us got to video chat with him his birthday morning -- it was good to "see" him. This is the birthday card I made and sent him -- he loved it. My dad is a McDonald's fan - lol - so I sent a Grub Hub order in for him for lunch --- so happy to be able to make his day special from a distance. I love how this card turned out ---

This is another #DreamingTree file - I love how it goes together. The original file is a father's day card (you can get it here)- but i changed it up for dad's birthday. I also gave it some texture by running the pieces through some embossing folders. Also to give the card some depth - I inked the edges with some Early Espresso ink by Stampin' Up. I added the toothpick and the little pennant to the top -- it needed something. The original file had "happy father's day" cut out at the top.

My dad loved it too -- he was showing it off to everyone! Made my heart happy - it's been hard to not be able to see him through all of this virus stuff - but I know it is best.
